Thyroid Labs "Normal" but You
Still Feel Terrible?

Exhaustion. Brain fog. Stubborn weight. Cold hands. Thinning hair. If conventional medicine keeps telling you your thyroid is "fine" while you know something's off, you're in the right place. We find the actual driver — Hashimoto's, T4-to-T3 conversion, iodine, gut, stress, blood sugar — and we fix it.

Common Signs of Thyroid Dysfunction

You don't need every one of these to have a thyroid problem. Even a few — especially if your labs are "in range" — usually point to dysfunction your standard panel won't catch.

The Standard Thyroid Panel Misses the Driver

Most offices run TSH (sometimes T4) and call it a day. That's a symptom-level test, not a driver-level test. So you stay tired — or you get a prescription that papers over what's actually happening upstream.

Thyroid dysfunction diagram — Symptom, Dysfunction, Driver, Correction
The thyroid example: the symptom (weight gain, fatigue) traces back through dysfunction → driver → correction. We find the driver, not just manage the symptom.
🔍

Find

A full functional thyroid panel (TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, TPO & TG antibodies) read against functional ranges — not just the lab's pathological cutoffs. Combined with a complete history and Applied Kinesiology, we pinpoint the actual driver.

🛠

Fix

Targeted to your driver. Hashimoto's gets autoimmune support. Conversion issues get the right cofactors (selenium, zinc, the gut). Iodine, blood sugar, stress, and inflammation each have specific protocols. No shotgun approach.

Stabilize

Lifestyle changes that keep the thyroid quiet for good — food, sleep, stress, and the inputs you can actually control. Our goal is to give you the tools to thrive long after you're done with us.

This Isn't Conventional Medicine.

What Patients Are Saying

These aren't curated testimonials — they're Google reviews from people who were told their labs were "normal" and finally got real answers. Many came in with thyroid, autoimmune, or fatigue symptoms that everyone else had dismissed.

I saw many doctors, many tests and even a brain scan. They could not find anything wrong with me — everything came back "normal" per their standards. After seeing Dr. Todd, I am sitting here writing this in tears of gratitude. After a year and a half of suffering I now feel like myself again.

I found Dr. Todd as a "last resort" after spending months seeking answers to my autoimmune issues from medical doctors, with nothing but dead ends. I felt a sigh of relief from our initial phone consult. Truly, I have never felt so heard and validated by a doctor. My symptoms have been steadily improving since I started working with him and I feel so much better today than just 5 months ago.

I've been working with Dr. Todd on digestive and menopause issues. I can honestly say I have not felt this good in years. I have the energy to work out consistently, which is a big deal for me. My sleep has also improved. I like his method of diagnosis and treatment — both Todd and Megan are kind and caring.

We are so grateful for Dr. Todd! My daughter was experiencing issues that were lowering the quality of her teenage daily life. I felt like we had tried everything — nothing helped. Once she had her first appointment, it didn't take long for her to get back to feeling like a normal kid. He is very patient, personable and knowledgeable.

What People Ask About Thyroid Care

The questions we hear most often from new thyroid patients in Elk River and the surrounding area.

My thyroid labs came back "normal." Why do I still feel awful? +
Because "normal" on a standard panel often isn't normal at all. Most offices run TSH (sometimes T4) and compare your result to a wide pathological range. We use functional ranges and a full panel — TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, and antibodies — to catch the dysfunction long before it becomes a disease. If you feel terrible, there's almost always a reason on a functional panel.
Do you treat Hashimoto's? +
Yes. Hashimoto's is one of the most common drivers we see. We look at the autoimmune piece (TPO and TG antibodies), the triggers feeding it (gut health, infections, food sensitivities, stress, blood sugar), and the conversion piece — then build a plan around your specific pattern. A lot of patients see antibody numbers come down significantly as the upstream drivers are addressed. See our Hashimoto's-specific page →
Can I still take my thyroid medication while working with you? +
Absolutely. We don't prescribe or change your medication — that stays between you and your prescribing doctor. What we do is address the underlying drivers so the medication has a chance to actually work, and so the thyroid has the support it needs from the rest of your body (gut, liver, adrenals, blood sugar).
Do you take insurance? +
We do not take insurance. We provide a superbill so your insurance company can reimburse you directly depending on your benefits, and we accept HSA and FSA. Our rates are time-based — not driven by an insurance menu — which means everything we do together is because it's what we genuinely believe is best for you.
Do I need blood work before my first visit? +
It helps, but it's not required. We can often move forward without it depending on your situation and budget, and decide together during your first visit whether a functional thyroid panel makes sense for you.
Are you accepting new thyroid patients? +
Yes. We see thyroid patients from Elk River, Otsego, Zimmerman, Rogers, and the surrounding Sherburne County area. Start with a free phone consultation so we can hear your story and confirm we're the right fit before you book a full visit.
